Green infrastructures and spatial planning: the e-learning courses in the EUSAIR Stakeholders Platform

EUSAIR Stakeholders Platform at #7thEUSAIRForum

A highly anticipated #7thEUSAIRForum session titled “Green infrastructures and spatial planning: the e-learning courses in the EUSAIR Stakeholders Platform (ESP)” brought an in-detailed insight into the newly developed #LearningChannel, which is a part of the #EUSAIRStakeholderPlatform.
The Italian Marche Region, in cooperation with the Municipality of Izola in Slovenia and the Italian Zerogravità company, has developed two e-learning courses on green infrastructure, where the training modules focus on key concepts of green infrastructure and their role in modern spatial planning. They are aimed primarily at decision-making bodies and institutions, both at the national and local levels, responsible for spatial planning. The courses are also free for all stakeholders who want to expand their knowledge of green infrastructure and its impact on everyday life. In this regard, the session also served as a promotion of the EUSAIR Stakeholder Platform and launch a learning channel as a service for all macro-regional strategies! It was developed based on “Handbook for Recognising and Planning Green Infrastructure”, presented at the 2021 Izola #6thEUSAIRForum follow-up event.

The significant add-on value of the Learning Channel was recognized by the European Commission and presented by Iztok Škerlič, TSG3 Facility Point Project Partner of Municipality of Izola in Slovenia co-financed by the Interreg ADRION Programme, Donatella Romozzi (Italian Project Partner of Facility Point), Sijana Veledar (Italian Project Partner of Facility Point -EUSAIR Stakeholders Platform Manager), Michele Giovenali (Italian Project Partner of Facility - Point EUSAIR Stakeholders Platform Pillar Manager) and Emanuele Paccamiccio & Laura Lanari from the Zerogravità company.
