In the EUSAIR Open Conference of 6 July 2023 two new large strategic studies and projects (The Master Plan for Transport and The Master Plan for Energy Networks) for the Region were presented and discussed containing proposals, prospects, priorities and recommendations for the transport and energy systems along two time horizons, the year 2030 and the years 2040-2050 with different scenarios for the long term. The general goal of the Master Plans which are with this letter, is at confronting the challenges ahead, implementing EU TEN-T and EU TEN-E, The European Green Deal, the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans, REPower EU while facilitating the access to the European Union. The Road Map towards Energy Markets Integration includes actions to harmonise and coordinate the electricity and natural gas markets through the Region with a view at improving energy security and competitiveness.
